Altinn alternative log-in methods
To use this log-in method you first need to create a new user.
You do this by clicking Log in → Select International → Log in without national identity number/D-number and then choosing Create a new user.
Only a few Altinn services are available using this log-in method, and it's not possible to receive roles in Altinn without a national identity number or D-number.
From February 2026, Email login is the new way to log in without a Norwegian national identity number or D-number. Both login methods will be available until 19 June 2026. If you are creating a new account, we recommend using Email login.
How to log in with your email address:
- Select Log in → International → Email login
- Enter your email address and click Next
- Check your email for a one-time code
- Enter the code to confirm and click Confirm
If this is your first time logging in with this email address, a new account will be created. If you have used this email before, you will access your existing account.
